L'Oréal Professionel  is the first company for worldwide turnover operating in the beauty & cosmetics sector, specialized in products cosmetic and beauty.

The foundation of L'Oréal in 1909 coincided with the first stroke of genius of the chemist Eugène Schueller. Women wanted to have short and blonde hair, embracing the trend of a male style. He patented a color formula for hair that - unlike anything else on the market at the time - was perfectly safe to use. Hair dyes would have been the goal of the company for decades to come.

1980-1990: help women face the world with confidence

While more and more women continued to take roles in the public sphere and workplace in the 1980s, L'Oréal Paris offered them make-up and skin care products to help them face the world feeling well with themselves and maintaining a young look.

Years 2000 - The turn of the millennium: new frontiers
